Assessments Administrator- Fixed Term Contract
  £26,093-£28,031 per annum
  Canterbury, Kent
  contract,full-time

Fixed Term- 6 Month Contract

We're seeking a reliable, organised and detail-focused Assessment Administrator to support the delivery of assessment administration, Module Ratification Processes (MRP), Examination Boards and formal examinations across the University and its partner institutions.

This is a busy operational role where accuracy, consistency and attention to detail are essential. You'll be responsible for recording and maintaining large volumes of assessment data, ensuring information is entered accurately and processed on time to support student progression and award decisions.

Working to established regulations and processes, you'll support the Module Ratification Process by checking, validating and processing assessment information to ensure module outcomes are accurate before they are confirmed. You'll work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to help ensure key assessment activities are delivered efficiently and to strict deadlines.

The role has clear peaks throughout the academic year, requiring someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can prioritise competing demands, and remains calm and focused during high-intensity periods. Your work will directly contribute to delivering a high-quality student experience by ensuring assessment outcomes are accurate, timely and reliable.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for an organised and conscientious individual with excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. You will have experience administering complex processes involving large volumes of data, where accuracy and meeting deadlines are critical.

You'll be comfortable following established procedures and applying them consistently, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. Experience working with databases or student records systems and confidence using IT systems to manage and process data are highly desirable.

You will be able to manage multiple priorities, work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, and communicate confidently with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders. You'll remain adaptable and resilient during busy periods, taking a proactive and solution-focused approach to your work.

A good understanding of the Higher Education sector and assessment administration would be advantageous, although experience of administering complex regulated processes in a similar environment will also be considered.

Integrity, professionalism and a commitment to delivering an excellent service for students are essential qualities for success in this role.

This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys working with data, takes pride in getting the details right first time, and is motivated by delivering accurate work to fixed deadlines.
