We have been established for over 30 years and have ambitious plans for further growth in the coming years. Our hydraulic trade counters carry a comprehensive stock of fluid power products from stock to offer an instant over the counter response, with access to 70,000+ products available for next day delivery. Each hydraulic trade counter has been built with dedicated production facilities to allow the manufacture of a one off, or high volumes of hydraulic hose assemblies with optional testing, labelling, bagging or including them into multi components kits.
To support our growth plans, we are planning to recruit additional members to our team.
A day in the life of a Trade Counter Sales Assistant:
Our Trade Counter Assistants are hands-on and work closely with the Branch Manager and in day-to-day depot operations. A part of your day will be serving both new and existing customers from our thriving trade counter, always delivering excellent service and driving sales where possible. You will be using our computer system to locate stock & process customer orders and provide timely and accurate pricing.
You will also:
• Complete local deliveries in the company van.
• Manufacture hose assemblies to customer specification;
• Promote additional products and services to customers;
• Allocate jobs to Service Engineers & provide progress reports to customers;
• Have control of associated paperwork; and
• Carry out general duties in the warehouse.
Who we are looking for:
You will need a hands-on, customer focused approach and be confident and happy to serve customers on a busy trade counter and proactively engage with potential future customers. As our Trade Counter Sales Assistant, you will have had previous experience in a similar customer facing role, perhaps in another industry.
Whilst not essential, previous knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic components will be a distinct advantage.
You must hold a valid UK driving licence, as you will be completing local deliveries in the company van.
