If you have solid administrative experience in a customer focused role, with excellent all round communication skills, we would welcome your application for this new role within our Kent & Medway Medical School (KMMS).

As a member of the KMMS professional services team, the Placements Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative support in the area of student administration in relation to clinical placements. In this role you will ensure the smooth running of all student placement related procedures, working closely with the Quality Manager and Lead for GP and Community Education to support a positive student experience and help the School to deliver its strategies.

As Placements Coordinator you will:

provide highly effective administrative support in the area student clinical placements
work closely with external placement providers to and colleagues within the school managing placement related enquiries and administration
support relevant planning and governance meetings and committees, taking and circulating minutes, preparing agendas and supporting documents and proactively following up on action points
take a proactive role in developing and enhancing administrative processes within the school
To be successful in this role you will have/be:

experience of working in HE administration including knowledge of timetabling in an education context and of taught programme processes and procedures
good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages (intermediate level) with experience of using spreadsheets and databases regularly
excellent interpersonal skills including a helpful and responsive manner with the ability to remain calm when under pressure
excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and accurately with a wide range of people (internal and external)
KMMS opened to our first cohort of 108 pioneer students in September 2020. Our vision for KMMS is to create a new medical school for Kent and Medway that becomes a beacon for first-class medical education and research. The School will attract the most talented aspiring doctors from within the local community and beyond, offering training and development opportunities that will help to keep that talent in Kent and Medway.
