Job Title: Compliance Lead
Contracted Hours: 37.5 - Monday to Friday
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: Kent & Canterbury Hospital with travel to other East Kent Hospital sites
Driving Licence -Essential

What does the role look like?


The Compliance Officer is responsible for meeting and exceeding required service level standards for background screening for permanent and contract staff. The Successful candidate is required to achieve operational excellence by effectively co-ordinating the end to end background screening process.

You will be an active and effective member of the Talent team by leading the compliance process and ensuring cycle times are kept within an acceptable level.
To support the Talent team in being a high performing service delivery function.
Provide advice and be able to resolve complex compliance issues
Ensuring all candidates are screened in line with policies and procedures
Ensuring all candidates are screened in line with government legislation
Effectively communicating with all third parties throughout the screening process to ensure responses are received within the agreed timeframes
Liaising with the relevant Manager regarding exceptions and any potential delays to start dates
Supporting with the checking of ID if required
Review and develop the compliance checking processes to ensure efficiency of the operation
Supervise the Talent Administrators ensuring that they are prioritising correctly.
Design & deliver the compliance process for 2gether.
Provide solutions to compliance processes whilst continually reviewing the cycle times.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Interest in recruitment and knowledge of pre-employment screening
Strong administration skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Positive and proactive attitude
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
