Background of department/role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Canterbury Christ Church University during a period of significant digital transformation and service enhancement. As part of the Digital Products team, you will play a leading role in shaping and delivering digital products that support institutional priorities and improve the experience of students and staff.
The Product Manager will own the day-to-day management, performance and continuous improvement of one or more digital products, ensuring they are reliable, secure, compliant and deliver measurable value to the organisation. Working closely with users, technical teams, suppliers and business stakeholders, the postholder will translate strategic priorities and user needs into actionable roadmaps and product backlogs.
You will lead agile delivery activities, oversee product enhancements and operational performance, and ensure all changes align with architectural, security and governance standards. The role will also support benefits realisation, user adoption and continuous service improvement across the product lifecycle.
You will be an experienced product management professional with a strong understanding of agile delivery approaches and digital product management practices. You will demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, prioritisation and problem-solving skills, alongside the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and supplier relationships.
Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills are essential requirements for this role.
Desirable: Experience of working within higher education or managing complex multi-supplier products within large organisations would be advantageous.

The role is based in Canterbury with a flexible and connected approach to working. Campus attendance will vary depending on delivery requirements, stakeholder engagement, collaboration and operational needs.
