The Role
We are looking for a Deputy Catering Manager to join our well-established Estates and Facilities Directorate at Canterbury Christ Church University
The Deputy Catering Manager will support, lead, manage and develop a professional customer focussed catering service team for the Campus Catering Service to students, staff and external customers. The post holder will be expected to deputise for the catering managers when required and ensure that all administrative processes and procedures are adhered to in accordance with the University guidelines.
Who are we looking for?
We are searching for a highly motivated individual with a flexible approach and be able to meet the expectations of providing a consistent and quality service to students, staff and external visitors.
The ideal candidate will be:
Customer focused with strong communication skills, with the ability to achieved agreed individual and team goals
Able to manage a large team to deliver the catering with a strong focus on good customer service, good quality, sustainable and cost-effective food offering.
Working with the Catering Team Leaders to provide a fully integrated and customer led catering service to maximise the student and staff experience.
Deputise for the Catering managers when required to ensure service delivery is met, working with the Team Leader’s in any outlet, be proactive in assisting with Hospitality, Events, licensed activities and formal dinners.
Team player to be consistently working with colleagues to ensure the best service is offered.
How will you work?
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is an Essential Campus Specialist- These roles are typically wholly campus based due to their specialist nature or the need to provide in person services.
Please be aware this role will require the successful candidate to very occasionally travel to our Medway or Tunbridge Campuses.
