The Learning Support Department at North Kent College is undergoing an exciting transformation to enhance the support we provide to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs). In response to the evolving SEND landscape and government reforms, we are creating four new Learning Support Manager roles across our campuses in Dartford, Gravesend, Hadlow and Tonbridge.
These roles offer a unique opportunity to shape and lead high-quality, inclusive support services that have a direct and lasting impact on learners’ lives.
We are looking for positive, resilient, and forward-thinking individuals with:
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation
Experience working with young people with SEND
A proven ability to lead and support teams through change
You will bring demonstrable experience of:
Implementing effective processes and practices to meet statutory requirements, including the Children & Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice 2015
Driving improvements that promote inclusion and positive outcomes for students with a wide range of learning needs
Leading teams to deliver high-quality, consistent support across a complex environment
While experience within FE or the post‑16 sector would be advantageous, we welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience across a variety of educational or support settings.
Working pattern
Full-time (37 hours, 52 weeks):Dartford, Hadlow, Tonbridge
Part-time (22.5 hours / 3 days, 52 weeks):Gravesend
(All roles offer a generous holiday entitlement)

Where you’ll work: This role is based at our Dartford, Gravesend, Hadlow or Tonbridge campus.
Your hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum (Dartford, Hadlow, Tonbridge). 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum (Gravesend).
Your pay: £43,248 Full Time Equivalent.
