Are you passionate about educating the next generation of nurses? Do you have experience in delivering high quality simulation either in practice or within the educational sector? If so, we would welcome an application from you.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward‑thinking Clinical Academic in Simulation to join our dynamic nursing simulation team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of simulation-based education that prepares our students to enter the profession with confidence, competence, and compassion.
You will work closely with colleagues across nursing, midwifery, and wider health disciplines, as well as with our valued NHS and third‑sector partners, to develop high‑quality, evidence‑informed simulation learning environments. Your work will help ensure our students are practice‑ready and supported to thrive in rapidly evolving healthcare settings.
In this role you will
Develop and deliver innovative simulation‑based teaching, including high‑fidelity and technology‑enhanced scenarios.
Support and mentor students across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes, contributing to an exceptional learning experience.
Engage in scholarly activity related to simulation or nursing education.
You will be an approachable, motivated professional with:
Active NMC registration and substantial clinical experience within nursing.
Experience in simulation‑based teaching or practice learning, with a passion for innovative education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and support diverse student groups.
A commitment to advancing nursing education through evidence‑based practice, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
A background in academic teaching and/or healthcare education is desirable, though we welcome applicants transitioning from clinical practice who are keen to develop their academic career.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced Child and Adult Disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service, which will form part of the employment offer conditions.
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is flexible and connected (Academic & Student Facing).
