A well-established and growing organisation in the transport and infrastructure sector is seeking a dynamic and experienced Management Accountant / Commercial Finance Manager to lead their finance function. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to take ownership of financial operations and play a key part in strategic decision-making.Your new roleAs the Management Accountant / Commercial Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing commercial insight to support business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading the finance function for the organisation's operations
* Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts and board pack commentary
* Posting month-end journals and conducting periodic P&L reviews
* Managing budgeting and forecasting processes
* Supporting and leading financial discussions with key stakeholders, including local government bodies
* Providing commercial analysis to support strategic initiatives
* Utilising financial systems such as Oracle Fusion (experience beneficial but not essential)

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need:

* A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in both management accounting and commercial finance
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Experience in preparing board packs and leading financial discussions
* Proficiency in financial systems; experience with Oracle Fusion is advantageous.
