Overview
A well-established company in the property sector based in Tunbridge Wells, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant. This role is an excellent opportunity to be the point of contact for the company's finances, before the external accountants, focusing on compliance, reporting, and delivering meaningful insights to the management team
This is a part-time position, 3 days per week (10:00am – 5:00pm) office based.
Salary is circa £37,000 pro-rata plus excellent benefits. Higher salaries can be discussed.
Duties
Prepare and post month-end adjustments including accruals and prepayments
Manage payroll journals and reconcile PAYE accounts
Oversee preparation and submission of group VAT returns
Allocate and split invoices across group entities where applicable
Perform interoffice reconciliations
Calculate and apply fuel scale charges in line with HMRC guidelines
Process and manage partner drawings
Compile and provide year-end financial information to external accountants
Deliver monthly profit and loss reports with commentary
Post letting income recorded via external software into the accounting system
What we're looking for
A successful candidate will be AAT qualified, have proven experience in a similar financial control, and be confident using Sage 50 and Excel. Experience within a multi-entity structure or property sector is highly desirable. You must be able to commute to Tunbridge Wells 3 days per week.
