Do you want to help inspire and support the next generation of students to Canterbury Christ Church University?

Are you passionate about creating opportunities for people who might not have seen university as part of their future?

At CCCU, we’re looking for a Student Recruitment and Outreach Specialist to join our team, playing a vital role in supporting our mission to attract, inspire, and empower future students. In this exciting role you will deliver engaging and interactive activities that help recruit students to the University. Whether you’re out in a school delivering a hands-on workshop, welcoming prospective students onto campus, or representing the University at a large recruitment event, you will contribute to promoting how accessible, exciting and transformative Canterbury Christ Church University is.

As part of our Student Recruitment and Outreach team, you will contribute directly to our Access and Participation Plan (APP) goals to support underrepresented groups to see university as an opportunity for them. This role is a chance to shape futures and be part of a team that believes university should be within reach for everyone. If you are keen to build relationships, create unforgettable experiences and change lives, our Student Recruitment and Outreach Specialist role is for you.

What we’re looking for:

Experience and enthusiasm in working with young people
Confidence in delivering interactive sessions and speaking to both small and large groups of prospective students
Experience of the UK university landscape to be able to advise students on their next steps
Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for working with people
Familiarity and confidence using computers and (desirable but not essential) experience of using reporting systems and data recording
Full UK drivers license with access to a car (desirable but not essential)

How will you work?

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is Flexible and connected (Professional Services). Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken. This could be in schools and colleges or on campus delivering events or in the office working with the team.

How to apply

Start date for applications: 26th of September 2025
Closing date for applications: 10th of October 2025
Interviews are to be held: DATE TBC
