As the Talent & Organisational Development function, our aim is to enhance skills and maximise potential for all staff at the University. We’ve recently launched a new Learning Management System with the goal of transforming the way we deliver learning and development across the organisation. We are now looking for an experienced Digital Learning Specialist, who is an expert in all aspects of digital learning design, who will help us achieve our vision for this ongoing, part time role. Initially this role will be for full time up until July 2024. After this time, the working hours will reduce to 21 per week.

The role will draw on the content expertise of multiple stakeholders across the organisation and beyond, working closely with the Talent & OD Consultants for the delivery of a new digital strategy, underpinned by the principles of blended learning to enable the transition to a more flexible cost-effective operating model.

You will play a key role in providing a high level of technical expertise to the Talent & OD team in extending the range, reach and volume of central programmes and projects offered to staff.

What will you be doing day to day?

apply digital learning best practice to produce high quality engaging eLearning courses/programmes as well as seek ways to improve how we use our LMS (Moodle)
use/develop relevant project management tools (e.g. project initiation document, treatment document, storyboarding templates, user testing) to deploy the department’s transition plan from a traditional learning offer to a blended offer
consult/liaise with a variety of internal/external stakeholders to develop digital learning solutions, building a network of trusted partners for the department
utilise digital tools and technology including “Adapt” to produce innovative and effective digital learning solutions and seek opportunities to leverage digital approaches across a range of existing and new learning programmes
provide face-to-face training delivery and facilitation when required
produce comprehensive reports, collating and maintaining statistical data relating to the measurement of training outputs
What can you bring to the role?

A relevant professional qualification at Degree level i.e. HR, L&D, digital learning or training qualification or equivalent experience
Previous proven experience of scoping, developing and implementing digital learning solutions
Experience of working with Learning Management Systems and L&D software/digital platforms such as Moodle, Yammer, Articulate, Elucidat or Storyline
Experience of creating online learning materials with Digital Media (e.g. Adobe Suite, Camtasia, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Indesign)
Experience and knowledge of training needs analysis with the ability to identify skill gaps and provide appropriate remedies through effective Talent Management
