Goldhawk Associates are working with an established regional Firm of Accountants, supporting them to appoint an Accounts Semi-Senior/Senior. Based in Medway this opportunity can offer a nurturing environment with a supportive attitude towards development and training and where progression is encouraged.
You will work within this small but established team and be responsible for supporting and preparing year end accounts, VAT returns, Tax and general accounts and bookkeeping. You will gain exposure to a varied client base, with exposure to large clients and will be client engaging so good communications skills are key.
You will be responsible for:
Support the managers with client portfolios
Preparation of management accounts and financial statements
Preparation of accounts predominately for limited companies as well as sole traders and LLPs
Ensure you are working to budget
Support and mentor more junior members of the team
Preparation of corporation tax computations
VAT returns
Liaising with the HMRC
Bookkeeping (depending on level of experience)
General accounting services and support
It is essential that you have previous experience of working within an accountancy practice and are AAT Qualified, Part qualified or qualified ACA/ACCA. If you are looking to continue your studies, full support will be offered.
