A well respected main contractor working across London and the South East now seek an experienced Quantity surveyor to join the stable Kent based commercial team. Working across Healthcare, Education defence and heritage sectors, projects are typically in the £5 10 mill range with over 15 projects on site currently, With an industry leading approach to using the latest technology and processes as well as a commitment to sustainability they offer a unique proposition to clients and as such have expended steadily over the past few years with continued growth guaranteed. With an excellent office culture extremely high retention rates they offer fantastic working environment as well as potential to progress. This is a newly created role to initially pick up 2 recently awarded education schemes in SE london totalling £15 million

Your new role
As senior Qs you will be working as part of a project team overseeing several 2 projects simultaneously. The team includes a Contracts manager, Site management team, design manager and assistant QS, based predominantly from the mid Kent based head office. You will be involved in all phases of site delivery from preconstruction/procurement through to day to day running and reporting and eventual final accounts, Reporting to the team leader you will have full commercial control of the project. highlighting risks, resolving contractual issues, ensuring best value and generally protecting the commercial interests of the business

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Quantity surveyor with a minimum of 5 years experience of managing your own schemes commercially. You will ideally hold a Surveying degree or equivalent, have worked for a main contractor previous and be comfortable working on 5 - 10 million schemes. You will also be fully i.t literate.
