Accounts & Payroll Assistant

McNealy Brown Ltd are steel fabricators and architectural metalworkers based in Sittingbourne. We are looking for an experienced Accounts & Payroll Assistant to work alongside our Accounts & Payroll Manager.
The role offers the opportunity to progress to the Accounts & Payroll Manager position over time.
The position is office based (free parking on site) and requires up to 30 hours a week with a degree of flexibility over when the hours are worked.
McNealy Brown Ltd operate both a company pension and private health insurance scheme.
McNealy Brown Ltd has a turnover of £14m and 100 employees.
You must have extensive prior knowledge of Accounts and Payroll Software (we use Sage), along with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
An Accounting Qualification is preferred but not essential.
You must have the ability to work both independently and within a team, a strong work ethic, be highly organised, have advanced numerical skills and be a good communicator.

Duties will include : Completion and input of weekly timesheets.
Assisting in the running of the monthly payroll process.
Logging and distribution of purchase invoices for approval.
Dealing with purchase invoice queries.
Inputting of purchase invoices into Sage accounting software.
Management of petty cash and credit card expenses.
Maintenance of employee holiday entitlement within Excel and Sage payroll.
Accounts department filing and archiving.
CIS Return preparation.
Sales Ledger Credit Control.
Assisting in the running of the supplier payment process.
Various admin tasks to enable the accounts department to run smoothly.
