Clerk / Personal Assistant - 19.5 hours (All hours Remote Working)
Tonbridge
£up to £35,400 per annum - depending on experience. PRO RATA (£c18.40 max per hour)

Hours: Permanent role - 19.5 hours per week, flexible on days/hours. All remote working + 3 evenings a month to attend meetings.

Role: Clerk
Working within a team or 3 supporting the Parish your responsibilities will be:
* Manage and monitor enquiries into the team.
* To prepare, in consultation with the chair the agenda for Meetings and agenda for the Planning Department.
* To issue notices and minutes for the Meetings, the Annual Parish Meeting and Committee Meetings.
* To receive emails, postal communications and documents and issue correspondence
* To approve invoices for good and services to be paid for and pass to the Financial Officer for payment.
* To ensure invoices are issued by the Responsible Financial Officer for goods, leases and rental agreements and ensure payment is received.
* To study reports and other data on activities as required
* To review annually and, in the event of an incident, manage the Emergency Plan and Flood Plan including the Flood Wardens.
* To act as the representative and attend meetings (3 a month, all planned in advance, see below for info.)
* To prepare, in consultation with the chair and the Communications Policy, press releases, social media posts, posts on the website about the activities/decisions.
* To ensure the website is kept up to date, reviewed and revised regularly and GDPR regulations and cyber security monitored and kept up to date
* To work towards the achievement of the status of Qualified Clerk (CiLCA) as a minimum requirement for effectiveness in the position of Clerk and attend training courses
* 3 meetings to attend per month; One Wednesday per month 7.30pm - 9.30pm and fortnightly 7pm for around 1 hour.
You will need to have proven administration and clerical skills and be confident on the phone and be able to build rapport with clients, attend meetings/networking and work independently with confidence all whilst understanding the importance of confidentiality....we want to hear from you.
Interview will take place immediately for an ASAP starting date.
