Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk | Medway/Hybrid | £24K
Our client a well-established organisation that is part of a wider group of companies are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk on a permanent basis. The companies’ modern offices are based in the Medway area and work on a flexible Hybrid basis with approximately 2 days in the office 3 from home.
You will be reporting to the Finance Manager, gaining a high level of exposure to all transactional elements of finance. Main responsibilities:-
• Input of purchase Ledger invoices
• Maintaining and Reconciling all Purchase Ledger accounts
• Preparing payments for weekly BACs payment run
• Post and allocate payments onto the system
• Billing for Netherlands office
• Expenses – processing & payments
• Processing Capex requests – obtaining approval & ordering
• General ad hoc duties including Finance incoming customer calls and emails
What you will need
• Ability to take ownership, be proactive and achieve desired results
• Be able to work in a relatively fast paced and high-pressured environment
• Must be able to work within a changing environment
• Must challenge old processes and the way things have been done in the past
• An interest in starting to study AAT or currently studying
• Good knowledge of Microsoft products
• Able to communicate effectively to various stakeholders
• Be prepared to work extra hours during busy periods
