Do you have expertise in business analysis techniques and an aptitude for assimilating and analysing information and making sound recommendations for action?

If so, we would welcome your application to join our team and play a key role in the development and support of the University's student record system, KentVision.

We have two Business Analyst vacancies available - one is permanent and the other is a fixed term contract of 12 months for maternity leave cover.

Working collaboratively with a range of colleagues from different areas of the University, you'll manage the KentVision system development lifecycle including analysis, development and testing, as well as providing system support to users.

We are looking for people who can combine business analysis skills with an aptitude for resolving technical challenges and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation.

As Business Analyst you can expect to get involved in:

facilitating meetings and workshops with stakeholders to investigate, understand, prioritise and specify requirements for the development of KentVision
documenting system specifications, authoring technical specifications and producing functional designs in order for development teams to create and implement improvements
providing users with advice on system use and processes, including technical problem solving and identifying where there is a need for system enhancements
What we are looking for in the right candidate:

a graduate-level education or the equivalent experience
in-depth knowledge of business analysis techniques and their application within a software development environment
excellent analytical skills and the ability to optimise business and system processes
the ability to show initiative and develop novel solutions to complex problems
