The University of Kent SpLD team is looking to recruit to our pool of Specialist SpLD Tutors, providing hourly paid support to students. Pay band: £26.50 per hour.
Specialist Tutors provide non-medical 1:1 support for students with specific learning difficulties/autistic spectrum disorders and/or ADHD. This includes supporting students to develop effective study skills including time management skills and organising their workloads.
Our Specialist Tutors need to have in depth knowledge and qualifications in supporting students with SpLDs and related conditions as well as understanding the demands of study in Higher Education and be able to recognise when there is a need to refer to others.
Applicants for the role are required to be educated to degree level or equivalent and have current membership of a professional organisation as specified by DSA-QAG (PATOSS, BDA, ADSHE).
