Communications and PR Officer
Temporary - 6 months
We are recruiting for a large employer in Canterbury who offer flexible working including part-time hours and the opportunity to work from home on occasion once trained in the role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Communications/PR Officer looking to get back into a Communications role. Or perhaps you are a Graduate with Administration experience who prides themselves in their command of the English language and ability to write well thought out content?
You will be working fairly independently alongside Senior Managers within the business and your duties will include:
* Updating and maintaining staff intranet
* Posting and updating some information on the company website
* Support the production of the monthly staff bulletins and other regular communications to teams
* Monitoring and managing/signposting communications through the Press and Communications email inboxes
* Supporting in the compilation of messages into readable and engaging copy and ensure consistency and accuracy
The successful candidate will have:
* Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Ideally experience using Web based systems and Social Media platforms
* An eye for detail and the ability to proof read documents
* The ability to self-manage and prioritise your workload efficiently
* Have experience working in fast-paced and, at times, high pressure office environment
This is a Temporary position for approximately 6 months, however there are a number of changes within the business so this could be extended. Ideally you will be available immediately or with no more than 1 week's notice.
