An exciting opportunity has arisen, with one of our clients, for an Assistant Materials Controller. To start initially on a temporary basis, the role will lead to permanent employment after 12 weeks for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manufacturing Manager and will assist in collating and processing bonus data, ordering raw materials for production requirements and ensuring that all deliveries are received and recorded accurately.
The hours of work are 39 per week, Monday to Friday, starting at 8.00am.
The main duties of the position will include raising raw material orders when minimum stock levels are reached, monitoring and maintaining computerised stock system to ensure an accurate record of stock movement is kept, assisting with monthly stock counts, updating stock records and highlighting slow moving stocks. Other duties will include producing monthly or ad-hoc supplier rejection reports, processing and inputting of bonus data and submitting to payroll.
The ideal candidate will be efficient, well organised, capable of working to critical deadlines, have a good standard of education, be proactive and numerate with an eye for detail, as well as good knowledge of Microsoft office, and be proficient in the use of Excel and MRP.
Proven experience of working in materials control as well as in an office environment are essential for this role.
Experience in the use of SAGE purchasing systems would be desirable.
