Are you a self motivated individual with excellent IT skills who is able to work independently? As a Project Support Officer you will, as part of a team, co-ordinate and organise the annual IS roadmap planning process to support a number of strategic themes in Information Services (IS). This sets the IS change vision and underpins the IS operational plan which contributes towards the ambitious change programme undertaken by Information Services.
As Project Support Officer you will:
Provide expert guidance, coaching and support to colleagues during the whole project lifecycle to contribute to successful project outcomes
Facilitate and co-ordinate strategic planning sessions ensuring that the benefits of progress of activity are clearly aligned to Information Services and University objectives
Ensure that actions resulting from programme boards and the Library Management Group are tracked and actioned appropriately
To be successful in this role you will have:
Been educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Excellent understanding of project management tools and methodologies
The ability to analyse and evaluate issues, situations and data
Experience of working in a customer support, liaison or other support role
Information Services is comprised of four sections: Customer Support, Library Collections and IT Development together directly support almost all areas of University activity, and the Planning and Administration section supports the work of the department. The IT Support Services subsection of Customer Services is responsible for the support and operation of all live central IT systems on the University’s Canterbury, Medway and Tonbridge campuses.
This position is part time (0.6 FTE) and fixed term until the 23 September 2020
Start date for applications: 14 Dec 2018
