Complex Healthcare Assistant
Pay rates £16.00 – £19.00 per hour (Bank holidays up to £30)
  Tunbridge Wells, Kent
  permanent,full-time/part-time

Superior Healthcare are recruiting a Complex Healthcare Assistant to support a client in Tunbridge Wells.

Our client is a friendly gentleman living with a spinal cord injury following an accident. He requires 24‑hour support to help him live comfortably and maintain his independence at home. He uses an electric wheelchair, which he manages very well himself, and has a suprapubic catheter that requires daily care.

He experiences spasms in his arms and legs, so part of the role includes supporting him with gentle, passive exercises when needed. He really appreciates carers who are patient, kind, and take the time to listen.

Outside of his care, he enjoys getting out for fresh air and especially loves fishing when the weather allows, so it’s a lovely opportunity to support him with activities he enjoys.

We’re looking for carers who are compassionate, reliable, and happy to go the extra mile to make a real difference in someone’s day-to-day life.

Shifts:
Monday to Sunday – long days 8am-8pm, wake night 8pm-8am and shorter shift 8am-2pm.

Benefits:
Pay rates £16.00 – £19.00 per hour (Bank holidays up to £30)
Thorough induction, and ongoing paid training
Option to work towards an NVQ/Diploma.
Holiday Pay.
Great Company Pension.
Blue Light Card – we’ll pay for it!
Referral Scheme: receive LOVE2SHOP vouchers when you refer-a-friend.
Access to employee assistance program.
Menopause support
Ongoing support provided by our team of nurses and supervisors.

Responsibilities:
To show the client dignity and respect at all times.
To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care is provided.
To be an advocate for the client, working in their best interest and in accordance with Superior Healthcare's policies and procedures.
To be calm, friendly and engaging with the client around their interests and hobbies.
To closely observe and monitor the client and keep thorough documentation.

Requirements:
