Your new company
This leading engineering software provider is expanding its Front End/Design capability, investing heavily in next generation user experience and design capability.

You will be working in their state-of-the-art offices in the heart of Guildford 5 days per week, close to the University and with excellent transport links to London and the surrounding areas in Surrey. they are investing heavily in next generation user experience and design capability.

You'll join a business with decades of experience taking them to a market leading position. Building on an impressive 2025 they pushed over 100 headcount and have the investment and product positioning to double this in the next 1-2 years.

Your new role
You will join as a Senior Designer, part of a newly created Front End function within a very well-established R&D Engineering team of over 50 Engineers. This is a hands-on position contributing to the product and design function, responsible for shaping the user experience vision for a new web native generation of complex engineering software. This will involve translating highly technical workflows into intuitive, efficient and modern user journeys.

You will partner closely with product managers, domain experts, and engineering teams to ensure usability, clarity and performance across the platform. You will lead user research, usability testing and workflow analysis, while contributing wireframes, prototypes and interaction models that guide product development.

Another key part of the role is helping to establish consistent UX principles, design standards and interaction frameworks across multiple software products, supporting the organisation's shift from a long established desktop environment to a cohesive web based ecosystem.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for Senior level experience as a Front End UX/UI Designer with strong capability in designing for complex, technical or workflow heavy products, ideally having worked in an Engineering or Scientific focussed company previously.

You will have 6+ years in specialist UX roles working with modern interaction design and usability principles, translating technical workflows into intuitive/elegant user experiences. You'll have expert Figma, prototyping and user research skills.

You'll have excellent communication skills and will have mentored others, including establishing design standards within organisations.
