Hours: Part / Full‑time (Minimum 3 days per week

Job Summary
Transmille Ltd. is seeking a reliable and well‑organised Bookkeeper / Accountant who can also support general office management and customer service. This is an in‑house role requiring at least 3 days per week in the office. You will handle daily finance duties, support the smooth running of the office, and assist with customer enquiries.

Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting
Experienced in Sage Line 50 / Sage 200 or similar
Maintain sales and purchase ledgers
Bank reconciliation and accurate financial record‑keeping
Supplier payments, invoicing, and credit control
Assist with monthly accounts and year‑end preparation
Support VAT submissions and payroll processes
Office Management
Oversee general office organisation and supplies
Coordinate administrative tasks and ensure a tidy, functional workspace
Assist with scheduling, internal paperwork, and workflow organisation
Support management with ad‑hoc admin tasks
Customer Service
Handle customer enquiries by phone and email
Provide updates on orders, lead times, and general information
Maintain professional and friendly communication with clients
Liaise with internal teams to resolve customer questions efficiently
Requirements
Proven bookkeeping/accounting experience
AAT qualification preferred (or equivalent experience)
Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting software skills (Specifically Sage Line 50)
Excellent communication and customer‑facing ability
Well‑organised, proactive, and able to multitask
Comfortable working independently in a busy office environment
Work Location
This role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in our Staplehurst office, with flexibility during peak periods.
