We’re a supportive, close-knit team with big ambitions — and we’re growing. We’re now looking for a talented Junior Estimator to join our expanding business and help us bring more exciting projects to life.
The Role
As an Estimator at Rap Interiors, you’ll play a crucial role in turning creative concepts into practical, cost-effective solutions. You’ll take ownership of your estimates from start to finish, ensuring every detail is accurate and every project is set up for success.
Key responsibilities include:
• Collaborating closely with our estimating, design, project, and surveying teams to develop accurate costings and proposals.
• Carrying out site surveys, either alongside a surveyor or lead estimator, to fully understand the project scope.
• Building detailed scopes of work and tender documentation.
• Managing subcontractor packages, obtaining competitive quotes, and negotiating costs.
• Liaising with clients & stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding throughout the tender process.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and problem-solving to deliver exceptional results.
About You
You’re analytical, detail-oriented and love seeing your work come to life in exceptionally finished spaces. You’ll be comfortable balancing precision with creativity, and confident in communicating with clients, contractors, and colleagues alike.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Lives within a 20-mile radius of Maidstone.
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Is highly organised, with strong time management and cost control abilities.
• Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
