HR People Services Officer
Full time, All Year Round
Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,461.80 (including uplift from September 2025)
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic People Services Officer within the People Services team at Benenden School, to provide a comprehensive, high quality, people-centred service. Our aim is to build on our reputation as a credible, professional and flexible team.
A key area of focus will be providing day-to day recruitment support in line with our Safer Recruitment Policy, uploading adverts to our website and other platforms, assisting with the co-ordination of interviews, and on-boarding new staff ensuring all candidates receive a positive experience.
There will also be a focus on compliance relating to checks for new contractors working within the School including carrying out DBS applications, Right to Work checks and interviewing potential new contractors, taking full responsibility for recording accurate information on the Contractor Single Central Register.
Preferably educated to degree level, you will have excellent and organisational skills and be proficient in the use IT systems and software programmes. You should have the ability to use your own initiative and take ownership of tasks, seeing them through to completion to a high standard with minimal guidance and supervision. Previous experience of working in a School in an HR role would be desirable.
