Where you’ll work: Bright Beginnings has childcare settings at North Kent College’s Dartford campuses.

Your Pay: £22,864 per annum

Your Hours: 37 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

North Kent College (including Hadlow College) is proudly rated as an Ofsted ‘Good’ provider, with ‘Outstanding’ learner behaviours and attitudes (April 2024). With four campuses across Kent and 4,000 students, we strive to equip the young people who study here with an inclusive and innovative education experience to enhance their future career prospects, which, as noted by Ofsted, is supported through our high-quality, industry standard facilities. Each and every staff member plays a key part in delivering the success of our learners’ experience, and we want those who join our curriculum and support teams to share our passion in achieving this.

Here at Bright Beginnings, our ethos is…

‘It takes a big heart to help shape little minds, and the greatest gift you can give to the children is your time, your attention, and your enthusiasm to play and learn with them.’

If this sounds like you in your approach to caring for young children, then please read on!

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our OUTSTANDING nursery team. We have 37 hours available, full -time vacancy, however, we would be happy to accept part-time applications. Your role will involve supporting and educating our young learners, ensuring they receive the best possible start in life. You will plan and engage in stimulating activities that foster their curiosity and development, while communicating effectively to expand their knowledge of the world. Additionally, you will help build their confidence and resilience, preparing them for the transition to school when the time comes.

Our close-knit and friendly team works collaboratively, including with external professionals, to meet the individual and diverse needs of every child. As a Nursery Nurse, you’ll be supported and empowered by an experienced and well-established leadership team, who in return will expect you to be motivated, inspiring, confident, and passionate in your role.

Ultimately, we want to ensure that our children…

 Feel safe and secure

Are guided and supported

Reach their full potential

Enjoy learning

Are respected and respectful

Feel included

Are engaged

Feel loved and happy

Have lots of fun (of course!)

As a Nursery Nurse, you’ll be a key player in making this vision a reality.

As part of the staff of North Kent College Business Services Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of North Kent College), you can look forward to a generous benefits offer, including 33 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, enrolment onto the People’s Partnership pension scheme, free parking, and access to a range of onsite facilities (including restaurants and coffee shops).

For a full job description and to apply, please visit North Kent College’s staff vacancies page.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 23rd February 2025.
