Head of Finance | Aylesford | £80k - £100k

Cobb & Jones are exclusively supporting a small, yet complex Group of companies in their search for a new Head of Finance, reporting into the Finance Director the Head of Finance will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the Group finance function, team management and management accounts.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee accuracy and delivery of monthly management accounts, balance sheet and additional reporting relevant to Board Reports
• Team management, mentoring and development
• Support year-end process for Group, external audit and statutory accounts
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of quarterly VAT returns
• Management of bank relationships
• Cashflow management and forecasting
• Senior stakeholder management, communicating with non-financial management and heads of departments to maximise company performance
• Support and lead on system and process improvements
• Support wider Group with long term business models

Profile:
• Formally Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA, unfortunately we cannot accept QBE profiles for this post
• Prior experience in managing and mentoring teams – minimum 5-10 heads
• Significant experience in a similar role: Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Finance Director
• Can evidence continuous improvement mentality through tangible achievements
• Advanced system use – specific system experience is not essential, but exposure to a variety of systems (ideally ERP) will be useful
• Excellent communicator, must be able to manage effective relationships at a variety of levels
