Our client is looking for an experienced chef to work in a busy, open kitchen in their newly refurbished establishment based in Whitfield, Dover. You will be responsible for preparing freshly cooked food to a high standard and will be working for a successful Logistic Company which export and import goods.

You will need to have at least two years kitchen experience and be comfortable leading and taking responsibility for a small kitchen team. Have a good understanding of Food and Health & Safety Legislation, including allergens, HACCAP & COSHH. You must have strong organisation and communication skills, as well as being able to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment. Salary for this role is dependent on your experience and ability to cover the shifts, it will be competitive and can be discussed on application.

Duties are:

* Responsibility for managing the shift team effectively whilst on duty ensuring maximum productivity and service levels.
* Follow direct orders and recipes and to correctly prepare dishes to the standards of the restaurant.
* Work under pressure in an open kitchen, in a fast paced environment.
* Be able to take in deliveries and rotate stock effectively.
* Maintain the highest standards of presentation and quality at all times
* Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen

The restaurant is open 24 hours, 7 days a week however you will be working a shift rota within the hours of 05.00 - 00.00hrs covering 11 hours per shift, 3 days on, 3 days off. Bank holidays will need to be covered with a day off in lieu. Your average hours equate to 36/week across the year. Based on hours and location, transport would be beneficial.
