Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s manufacturing maintenance team during an exciting period of expansion. As an industry leader in manufacture, Reed Engineering offers a role that is both challenging and rewarding, with a generous benefits package.

Day to Day of the Role:
• Responding to breakdowns by fault-finding both electrical and mechanical issues.
• Performing routine, regular preventative maintenance in compliance with relevant regulations to minimise downtime.
• Maintaining and repairing machinery
• Fault finding as required and supporting on-site services.
• Managing spares stock control, ordering parts, and liaising with suppliers.
• Ensuring full compliance with all safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Supporting various continuous improvement initiatives and documenting procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in industry repairing/maintaining equipment, fault finding & repairs.
• Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification such as City & Guilds, ONC, or HNC BTEC.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
• IT proficiency, including experience with Excel/Word and bespoke maintenance IT packages.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work at heights and perform manual handling.

Desirable Skills:
• 18th Edition IEE wiring regulations.
