This is a really exciting time for Clarion's Group Technology Team; we're recruiting for a variety of new Tech roles and we're looking to you to join our growing team.
This is an amazing opportunity for you to join us, an organisation which has ambitious plans to deliver technology solutions which truly deliver customer-centred outcomes.
Our vision is to harness technology to build a better future for Clarion, its people, and communities. At Clarion, we understand how important technology is for the success of our business and are proud of the progress we have made to date in building a modern technology platform.
Join our team and you'll be part of a group of talented, enthusiastic and supportive people who have a passion for bringing technology to life for social good.
We're looking for a Head of BI & Analytics to lead the design, build, maintenance, upgrade, and support of the "front-end" of the Clarion data platform aligned to agreed design principles, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and best practice.
The ingestion from source systems, including staging the data, transforming the data, and loading the data in a variety of systems, will be performed by the Clarion Data Engineering team with the end-product being a series of data marts or warehouses. The BI & Analytics team is responsible for defining the requirements of the data marts or warehouses, liaising directly with the business stakeholders, building the measures, KPIs, dashboards, reports, and associated data products.
With substantial experience of managing and leading a high performing team operating at an operational level within a diverse organisation you'll have excellent stakeholder management and communication, negotiation and influencing skills and a record of accomplishment in the management and delivery of transformational service management improvements across an organisation.
As the senior point of escalation for the team and senior architect for systems design you'll develop and lead an effective, high-performance team by retaining and attracting key talent and ensure continuous improvement in staff competencies, skills and knowledge. You'll support your director to establish clear and measurable strategic plans, budgets and targets with robust and fit-for-purpose operational procedures to deliver measurable service improvements and ensure that all elements of the service are the best value for money.
With excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to understand, analyse, and evaluate a complex business scenario and propose an appropriate solution, you'll develop, evaluate and monitor a set of Key Performance Indicators driving performance and taking actions to ensure targets, objectives and standards are exceeded or met.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey concepts to non-technical audiences and extensive experience at engaging, influencing and managing stakeholders is essential. You'll have substantial experience in leading, developing and motivating a team of subject matter experts, expertise with PowerBI and in RDBMS (preferably SQL Server) and expertise in data modelling (Kimball and DataVault) and in core data governance and management principles (especially master data management).
With hybrid working, base locations across England and flexible working arrangements this could be the opportunity you've been looking for!
