Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator in Domestic and Commercial Gas Central Heating Systems!

My client is an established company specialising in central heating installations for both residential and commercial properties, located near Sevenoaks, Kent, and serving the South East region. They are experts in central heating installations for homes, schools, sheltered housing complexes, and commercial buildings, in addition to undertaking plant/boiler room refurbishments. Owing to their sustained expansion, they are currently searching for a full-time Mechanical Estimator who will be required to travel to various sites throughout the South East.

As a Mechanical Estimator, your responsibilities will include:

- Evaluating pricing for heating installation tenders on various projects.

- Interpreting and comprehending architectural drawings and specifications.

- Conducting on-site assessments to generate estimates, tenders, and quotations.

- Collaborating with clients to address queries related to tender documents.

- Engaging with suppliers to acquire cost estimates for materials and services.

- Formulating comprehensive Mechanical estimates, tenders, and quotations.

- Assisting in client meetings and presenting estimates and tenders to secure opportunities.

To excel in this role, you must possess:

- Proficiency in both commercial and domestic plumbing and heating, encompassing natural and LPG Gas systems.

- Current knowledge of Building legislation, Gas Regulations, Water Regulations, and the Health & Safety at Work Act.

- A proven track record as an Estimator in the Mechanical Services Industry.

Key competencies required include:

- Outstanding organisational and time management abilities.

- Strong communication skills, both in written and verbal forms.

- Flexibility, adaptability, and a high level of enthusiasm.

- Successful completion of DBS checks.

The compensation package includes:

- Company vehicle/allowance and company phone.

- 28 days of annual leave, including public holidays.
