I`m supporting an international business based in Kent to source a new Financial Business Partner who will provide leadership and oversight within a divisional finance function.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational financial advice to the Board and Senior Management in order to shape and influence future corporate strategies.
- Support advice with high quality analysis and interpretation, including trending, benchmarking and KPI analysis to support the business decision making process.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight in order to develop and implement sector strategies.
- Lead the planning, reporting and business analysis activities for the business, ensuring that there are sufficient controls in place to ensure the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and relevance of all information and that the accounting treatment adheres to current UKGAAP / IFRS policies and procedures as appropriate.
- Ensure that these controls are reviewed / revised on a regular basis to meet changing needs and requirements of the business.
- Work with the other Business Partners in supporting key growth, business change initiatives and cost reduction programmes.
- Recommend decisions to approve or reject projects for investment, and whether to continue investing in projects being executed.
- Research and share up to date knowledge of how enterprises are innovating in business planning and reporting and in their approaches to continual improvement in departmental efficiency, whether that be through staff development and training, procedural change, innovation and systems utilisation with a view to reducing costs and enhancing value.
- Build great relationships with business managers and colleagues to facilitate enhanced shareholder value and ensure such relationships are professional and appropriate at all times, building credibility both within Finance and with other areas of the business.

About you

This role will suit an established finance leader and business partner who can demonstrate their ability to instigate change and drive business performance. You will need to possess a recognised financial qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA and have a strong understanding of commercial accounting, analysis and reporting. Be able to provide robust and timely financial plans / reports, commercial analysis and decision support and effectively assimilate and communicate this information back to the board, senior management and corporate shareholder with risks and issues clearly identified. Experience in delivering commercially strong business cases, balancing cost, risk and future benefit to establish go / no go project decisions. As well as experience in driving forward innovation in finance systems, modelling and processes in order to streamline the running of the finance function and ensure it is being
undertaken in the most cost-effective manner possible.
