Test Engineer

Our client based near Rochester has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join their team as a Test Engineer performing hands-on testing and contributing to the development of cutting-edge products.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Assisting the Test Engineer/Laboratory Manager in building and monitoring test rigs
* Collecting test data and writing comprehensive test reports.
* Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised lab environment,
* Procure necessary testing items
* Assist with fault finding and investigations.

Hours:

37 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4pm and Fridays 7:30am-12:30pm.

Qualifications and Experience:

* GCSEs with grades A-C in Maths and Science.
* Pursuing or holding a National Certificate/Diploma or Higher National Certificate/Diploma in an engineering discipline (preferably Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical).
* Previous work experience in a similar environment is desirable.
* Ability to read drawings and basic electrical knowledge (e.g., wiring a plug/socket).
* Experience with hand tools, such as spanners, screwdrivers, drills, etc.
* Knowledge of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
* Desirable: Experience with measurement equipment (e.g., multi-meters, PLCs, data loggers, verniers, calipers, tensile equipment).
* Desirable: Familiarity with design technology, technical drawing, IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF), MRP/ERP Systems, and CAD.
