We are at an exciting point in our future growth and development and we see this post as raising the funds enabling us to fulfil and enhance our current service delivery, as well as identifying and developing new initiatives and funding streams to support the work we aspire to do in the communities we serve.

Main Tasks
• Create and implement an income generation action plan, prioritising areas for action based on the return of investment risk and the ease of implementation for agreement and action.
• Prioritise and increase unrestricted income.
• To diversify income streams, generating a steady stream of sustainable income source for DAVSS.
• Lead on all applications (contract and grant opportunities), research and reporting to trusts and foundations. Including writing compelling funding applications that answer funders’ questions and effectively communicate the mission, services and impact of DAVSS.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet the organisations financial goals and objectives.
• Identify and research potential funding sources, including trusts and foundations, government agencies and local authorities, corporations, individuals, and community groups, -Develop and implement a 2 year itemised rolling funding plan (building on current plans), and input this to the annual budget process and the business planning process.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationship with existing and new funders, building on DAVSS existing relationships and developing new relationships.
• Prepare / write compelling grant applications, sponsorship arrangements, and fundraising campaigns to secure strong long term income streams
• Thank funders for their donations, sponsorships, and grants showing the impact of their support, and building relationships where appropriate.
• Organise and implement fundraising events including community events and funder appreciation events if needed.
• Develop and implement online funding campaigns.
• All income generation activity is effectively recorded in order to facilitate planning, achieve outcomes and contribute to performance management on an individual, project and organisational basis, using the information to produce high quality statistics and reports are required.
• Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of fundraising activities making data-led recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare /write timely and effective monitoring reports for funders.
• Stay up to date with best practices in fundraising and incorporate these where appropriate into DAVSS fundraising.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Finance /Admin Team to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of fundraising activities and financial results.
• Meet or exceed income targets.
• Develop systems to ensure compliance with Fundraising Regulator and the successful cycle of fundraising.
• Ensure that our development work supports customer preferences and desired outcomes (including those of service users and commissioners).
• Ensure new initiatives are relevant to the diverse communities that DAVSS serves and reflects local and national domestic abuse and social care policy and developments where they meet the organisation’s charitable objectives and Business Plan.
• Ensure that equality and diversity are key components of all income generating activities and that the activity proactively addresses disadvantage, inequalities, stigma and discrimination.
• Work with the Management team to develop financial modelling and budgets for new bids and tenders.
• Ensure all income generation activity is effectively recorded in order to facilitate planning, achieve outcomes and contribute to performance management on an individual, project and organisational basis, using the information to produce high quality statistics and reports are required.
• Secure grant funding for new services and to collect evidence, data and stories that promote and demonstrate our impact.
• Be proactive in creating opportunities for developing new and existing partnerships and networks in conjunction with staff and Trustees.
Contribute to the overall running of DAVSS
• Ensure that the views of service users are sought regularly to inform project and service development.
• Carry out work in accordance with DAVSS’ policies and procedures, current legislation, and quality standards.
• To contribute to events and activities that contribute to the visibility of, and raise resources for DAVSS as a whole.
• To contribute to the effective running of the organisation within legal and best practice frameworks, in conjunction with colleagues.

Person Specification
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience fundraising preferably in the charity sector.
• Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques and best practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to write successful grant applications, monitoring reports, and presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with funders, donors, sponsors, community stakeholders, volunteers, and staff.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using fundraising software and CRM skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with ahigh level of professionalism and integrity.
• A passion for DAVSS objectives and values, along with a passion for fundraising and a genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of people experiencing domestic abuse.
