Working alongside the Rough Sleeper team, the overall purpose of the role is to provide support to people experiencing homelessness.
This is a temporary role to start immediately for approximately 3-months initially.
Full-time hours providing 37.5 hours Monday to Friday; General hours are 9-5 but the role does require one shift a week with Early Outreach which requires a 6am start.
Core responsibilities:
* To engage with people who are experiencing homelessness, including targeted street outreach.
* To assist, advise and support clients with housing related support.
* To support clients in accessing appropriate services and local amenities.
* To manage a caseload of clients, adapting to the needs of the team and service.
Personal requirements:
* Experience of working with homeless or vulnerable people.
* Relevant training, study or qualifications in the area of social studies, health care, housing or welfare advise would be beneficial.
* Good IT skills
* The ability to organise own workload efficiently.
The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
