Freight Sales Manager
We are proud to be representing a first-class, truly European, customs clearance company who pride themselves in bringing professionalism and precision to the UK customs clearance process. With a speciality in shipping goods all over the world for over 30 years, they are expanding further and seeking an experienced Freight Sales Manager to join their busy team in the Dover office.
Competitive salary up to £55k (depending upon experience and client portfolio), an attractive retainer bonus every 6 months, on-going short-term incentive bonus and private healthcare insurance with premiums paid by the company. Monday to Friday 09.00-17.30.
You will be responsible for identifying new sales leads, cold calling, pursuing and negotiating new business, as well as following up incoming sales leads, managing tenders and having face to face customer meetings, where required. Experience in air, sea or road freight forwarding - this role could suit someone who is experienced in international transport management, with knowledge of road, sea and air transport.
The ideal candidate will have a proven sales record of accomplishment in gaining new and managing existing business, demonstrable experience of successfully working to and exceeding sales targets, excellent relationship buildings skills, able to prioritise and manage time efficiently. A good standard of both written and spoken English is imperative, as are solid maths and geography skills. Commercial awareness and ability to negotiate at a high level are paramount, as is the ability to maintain long-term professional relationships.
