Senior BI Analyst - Permanent - Based in Crawley - Hybrid working available. Salary Up to £55k plus benefits

Your new role

Showcase your data talents with this leading organisation where you can apply your creativity and experience to unlock the value of data. Our client requires an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to help lead the reporting team and guide the business intelligence projects forward. You will develop a detailed understanding of the business and its processes, and produce ideas to improve the effectiveness of those processes, and provide support for incoming data requests, gather user requirements, and design the functional specifications for analytical reports, dashboards, and analysis to delight customers with the output.

This is a professional role which requires positive collaboration and partner engagement skills, and an understanding of data analysis and business intelligence best practices. You will set the standard for professional and high-quality work, and to help management to drive the business forward through data-driven decision-making.


What you will be doing



* Lead business intelligence analysts, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure the team is performing to the highest standards
* Collaborate with Finance and the business to understand their reporting needs and design dashboards, reports, and scorecards that provide real-time insights and help drive the business forward
* Collect and analyse large amounts of data to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities and provide insights to support the business
* You will identify areas for attention, recommend applicable solutions and implement improvements to improve the business
* Present insights to senior partners, including executives
* Inspire the team to follow best practice for data governance and security, and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the business
* You will seek out new ways to improve the team's processes and output and stay up-to-date with the latest business intelligence trends and best practices
* You will manage the production of regular reports and dashboards, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the required quality standards

What our client is looking for


* Experience leading analysts
* Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau and especially PowerBI
* Expert proficiency in SQL, DAx, or other data analysis tools
* Excellent presentational skills, with the ability to present complex information in simple, tailored formats
* Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify areas for attention and recommend relevant solutions
* A collaborative approach, with the ability to partner effectively at all levels of the business
* A curious mindset, with experience with continuous improvement and staying up-to-date with the latest business intelligence trends
* Experience working with Finance people at all levels
