Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Sittingbourne, Kent for a Northgate Operative to join their team
The role entails:
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental systems and procedures
- Inspecting vehicles that are collecting products in order to ensure that they are fit for purpose
- Interacting with drivers, making sure that they are wearing the correct PPE and that they have the correct safety equipment and understand the safety aspects of the site
- Processing the load via the computer systems, issuing loading documents and directing drivers to the loading point.
- Liaising with the warehouse team via the phone and radio
- Requesting export documentation from the haulage agents and issuing the drivers with despatch notes and any export documents that they require
- Maintaining the computer records
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience using office based computer systems is beneficial. However, training will be provide
- Due to the nature of this role, the applicant should be physically fit
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A current driving licence would be preferred
Other details:
A rotating pattern of
- 1 week of 12 hour days (Monday to Friday)
- 1 week of 12 hour nights (Monday to Friday)
- 1 week off
This role will be paid hourly with an annual salary in the region of £26,000
