Powder Coating Team Leader

Permanent, Burgess Hill, £26,100 - £27,294, Monday to Friday, alternating shift pattern every 4 weeks, 7am - 3:30pm and 10.30am - 7pm (soon to be changing to 6am - 2:30pm and 1:30pm - 10pm), free parking, pension, 20 days holiday + bank holidays, paid Christmas shutdown, private healthcare, hot and cold drinks as well as snacks provided.



The Role

We are delighted to be working with an excellent employer in Burgess Hill who are seeking a Production Team Leader to join their busy manufacturing team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this hands-on Team Leader role will oversee a team of powder coaters and warehouse operatives. In this role you will be required to support the team, ensuring appropriate work is allocated and to ensure production deadlines are met. Role will include:

* Setting and operation of manufacturing machinery
* Adhering to maintenance schedules for factory machinery
* Supporting and training colleagues
* Completing administrative tasks related to day-to-day production.
* Checking and maintaining stock figures.
* Reporting any non-conformance issues to Supervisor.



Requirements

The successful Team Leader will ideally be able to demonstrate supervisory experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment. Previous Supervisory experience is essential. You'll need to be a confident Team Leader, able to communicate with your team and supervisor effectively. The role will involve administration tasks so competent computer skills are required. It would also be beneficial to have some experience with powder coating machinery, although this will be trained for the right candidate. This role would suit someone who has been a Production Supervisor, Production Lead or Cell Leader.
