Working for a prominent organisation in Dover as Construction Design Manager (on a fixed term contract through to 2026), you will be responsible for:

* ensuring the current design is effectively evolved in collaboration with an early contractor involvement partner
* achieve an optimal and efficient design to the required level of detail, to enable the project to be competitively tendered
* appoint a main contractor to deliver the works

You will be at the forefront of stakeholder and wider department coordination, both internally and externally, and will need a strong customer focus and be service minded. You will also form part of an agreed structure and operate within a Project Delivery Team.

To apply, you should possess the following:

* BSc/BEng in Construction Management / Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural, Building Services or similar
* Charted status of a recognised Professional Institution or alternative relevant professional organisation.
* Project Management Qualification from APM or alternative relevant professional organisation or demonstrable experience
* A minimum of 6 years of demonstrable experience as design or design manager for building construction projects
* Fulfilling the role of Project Manager under the NEC contracts
* Managing a portfolio of construction projects
* A demonstrable understanding of CDM Regulations and Health & Safety Legislation
* Good knowledge in MS Office and MS Project
* Good knowledge in AutoCAD
* Understanding of procurement of both services and construction works under 'client role'
* Full driving licence and own transport
