Goldhawk Associates are proud to represent an established client in their search for a Senior Financial Accountant based in Gillingham, Kent. This multifaceted role requires the successful candidate to act as the Senior Financial Accountant for the Gillingham site and to coordinate Statutory Accounts and Tax-related matters for the UK legal entity.

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will support the Financial Controller and the Finance team in monthly and annual reporting, ensuring that process, policy, and compliance responsibilities are fully understood and documented.

In the capacity of Statutory and Tax Coordinator, you will oversee the preparation and completion of the Legal Entity`s Statutory accounts and other statutory returns, including tax. This role involves coordination and communication with external accountants and stakeholders, as well as ensuring the timely filing of these documents.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing and guiding the finance team to deliver all Financial elements
- Liaising with auditors to ensure robust processes and timely responses to data requests
- Ensuring Sarbannes Oxley compliance
- Developing and maintaining accurate reporting systems for financial performance analysis
- Continuously improving the site`s Working Capital Cycle
- Administering the company`s assets and liabilities in accordance with established financial controls and policies
- Coordinating Legal Entity`s Statutory accounts and tax-related filings
- The successful candidate will have control over the company bank accounts and will be expected to display strong analytical and accounting skills, proficiency in Excel and forecasting modelling, and a thorough understanding of Balance sheet and P&L reporting.

Essential qualifications:

- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified
- Strong understanding of both US and UK GAAP
- Proven experience of internal financial reporting in a multinational company environment
