Technical Estimator
Full Time
Outskirts of Maidstone – Must drive due to location
£23k - £26k DOE
This is a great opportunity for a Technical Estimator to work for a market leading Engineering company with multiple sites, with brand new facilities! This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in estimating and technical solutions while working with one of the industry's most respected companies.
Duties include:
• Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to analyse project requirements and specifications.
• Evaluate customer needs and provide accurate cost estimates, taking into account materials, labour, equipment, and any necessary subcontractor services.
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive quotations for projects, ensuring alignment with company pricing strategies and profitability goals.
• Conduct technical assessments and calculations to determine the appropriate solutions for each project, considering factors such as air performance, acoustics, thermal efficiency, and aesthetics.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to obtain pricing and technical information required for accurate estimates.
• Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and standards related to the products to ensure compliance and provide innovative solutions to customers.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
The successful candidates will have / be:
• Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management degree, or any other related field.
• Proven experience in estimating and technical solutions, preferably within the building services or HVAC industry.
• Proficient in using estimating software and tools.
• Solid knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to perform calculations and cost estimations accurately.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to changing project requirements and business needs.
