Training Centre Manager
£38-£42K, Porchester, Permanent, Monday - Friday, 7.5hrs per day between 08:00am - 5.00pm
An excellent opportunity to be part of a hugely successful Training company. As the manager for the Portchester site this key role will drive excellence providing an exceptional experience for all internal and external customers.
This 'hands-on' role is accountable for the day to day running of the centre and the co-ordination of health & safety across the business but, also responsible for the consistent delivery of quality for multiple teams that work out of the Portchester site.
You will need excellent communication and organisational skills; and great attention to detail. An understanding of a training organisation would be beneficial, but a strong office/site manager background will be crucial to manage the complex yet exciting requirements of running a training establishment.
Core Responsibilities:
* Develop and adapt robust systems that facilitate and deliver the smooth running of the Administration team
* Manage the training system that ensures accurate recording of training records for the organisation
* Audit training packs for quality processing and support the Administration team resolve any issues quickly before certification claimed
* Drive quality of evidence packs by feeding back findings to the assessment team
* Confident dealing with different customers (internal and external) and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner
* Upholds consistent quality of learning and excellent customer experience
* Ensure quality of programmes delivered to between 60-120 learners / customers on site at any one time
* Produce factual reports for the Leadership Team at the required frequency and as required
* Managing provision within a pre-determined budget
* Works with external providers where necessary
* Support the Strategic Lead & Apprenticeship Manager to implement the 5-year Operational Strategy working with Curriculum Manager and Sales & Marketing Manager
* Manage all induction and new starter process, in conjunction with Operational Team, ensuring that all new staff are booked onto relevant induction courses and programmes
* Work closely with Scheduling Coordinator to ensure accurate schedule of Portchester training programmes for 11 months, updating and amending as required to meet the organisation's needs
* Support the Apprenticeship team with the compilation of the QIP & SAR
* Support with mandatory inspections including OFSTED, Matrix, ELCAS & ERS
Requirements:
We would expect the successful Centre Manager to have extensive management experience including performance and development of staff. Ideally you will have experience within the education sector and understand the compliance requirements. We are seeking someone who is self motivated with the ability to work effectively under pressure and deal with conflict. You will be competent with Microsoft, particularly in Excel and have the ability to produce reports. Experience of working in a training environment would be advantageous. It is essential that you have a full driving licence.
