Finance Manager / Head of Finance Job - Mid-Kent - Salary up to c£50,000 - Environmental Sector

My client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager or Head of Finance to join their dynamic and environmentally focused business.

Your new role
This is a hands-on team management role with oversight of the day-to-day financial functions across the business and associated group entities. You will be responsible for monitoring the financial performance of the group and providing accurate and timely management accounts, reports and information to all those who require these, as well as taking operational responsibility for overall financial compliance and risk management. You will work with senior leadership and key stakeholders to improve use of financial software, improve financial control and forecasting systems, and build finance team capacity.


* Lead on providing financial management reporting information to the business and its subsidiaries
* Develop the finance team to provide best practice internal management accounting, processing and reporting services via leading a business partnering / internal client approach at the same time as meeting statutory accounting requirements.
* Monitor cash at bank and maintain a 12-month cash-flow projections.
* Draft the quarterly finance reports for various committees, showing results and variances with commentary, latest forecast outturn, and cash at bank projection, working towards our aspiration of being able to produce full quarterly balances.
* Day to day transactional and operational financial management

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be an accomplished Finance Manager / Head of Finance looking for a challenging and progressive role within a diverse business. Possession of a financial qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA is preferable, however those who can demonstrate suitable experience in delivery of a similar role will also be considered. Prior experience of management of a small team and the ability to engage with all level of key stakeholders is desirable.
