Our client is actively seeking an Estimator to be responsible for the management of tenders from information sourcing to submission. This role will be based at their East Sussex offices, though there will be a requirement to visit construction sites when required. You will also be required to build and maintain effective relationships with existing and prospective clients, identifying opportunities to grow and optimise future business

About the role

* Use to using SE share services
* Produce accurate, competitive, error-free, thorough, well-researched tenders
* Maintaining estimating files and records
* Provide a point of contact for clients pre and post-contract
* Ongoing review of costs throughout the project
* Provide support for the construction team through purchasing as required
* Maintain a clear understanding of client's tender requirements throughout
* Ensuring all tenders have a tender stage risk & opportunity register
* Review and remain aware of material inflation rise

About you

* Estimating: 3 years (required)
* Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
* Full DBS check (conducted by the Client)
* Experience as an estimator within recent employment
* Experienced working within the construction industry
* Understanding of Risk & Opportunity Analysis
* Being educated to a degree level or equivalent is desirable but not essential
* Good financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation accurately
* Proficient in general IT applications including Excel, and Xero beneficial though not essential
* Ability to prioritise own workload efficiently without guidance
