We are looking for an experienced HGV Driver to join our team in Folkestone, Kent.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering career stability with local driving only .
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to and from various sites in a safe and timely manner.
This will include filling out Driver’s Daily Defect Sheets, maintaining all equipment in a legal condition and ensuring trailers and units are left in a safe area at all sites. The role also involves dispatching components to production, handling and locating stock accurately and carrying out stock-taking.
The ideal candidate will possess a valid MHE licence for all equipment, a valid and up-to-date driving and Class 1 HGV licence and a valid forklift license - Counterbalance and VNA. Experience of working in a Warehouse environment, good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and SOPs is also required. Computer literacy with experience of SAP is an advantage.
This role works 4 on, 4 off shift patterns of 12 hour shifts, alternating across the following shifts: 5am-5pm, 7am-7pm, 8am-8pm. In return our client offer a competitive package, including 23 shifts annual leave with the opportunity to purchase up to an additional 3 shifts of leave, a competitive pension matched up to 9%, discretionary annual bonus and membership of a health cash plan.
