Financial Accountant | Bromley – Hybrid | £45k - £50k
Our client, a successful Financial Services business are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This role is full time working on a Hybrid basis 2-3 days in the office and the other from home.
The client requires someone who is technically strong with good experience with debits and credits. You will have the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will be an effective communicator as you will work closely with the other members of the team, wider Finance, Systems and Customer Services.
Responsibilities include:-
• Investigation into balance sheet reconciliations and other issues
• Ensure all accounting entries are correctly coded with appropriate audit trails.
• Month end closure
• Acting as a Finance business partner within the business, including supporting the expense budgeting /forecasting process
• Assist with various business transformation projects within Finance
• Assist with financial control and operational duties such as accounts payable, bank reconciliations, expense processing and invoicing
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns
• Assist with the review of payments out.
• Provide cover for daily unit pricing, appropriations and treasury operations.
• Assist with Audit requirements during the year end close
• Produce appropriate reports as requested by the senior managers
• Provide support and cover for other members of the Finance department
• Know and follow the risk management activities for the duties set out above
• Know the principles of Treating Customers Fairly and apply them as appropriate
What you will need
• Technical accounting experience including Debits and Credits with a Financial Accounting type role
• Good Excel skills
• ACCA, CIMA, ACA Qualified
• Knowledge of IFRS 17 would be an advantage
• Excellent communicator who can work to tight deadlines
