Project Planner/ Project Coordinator (Hybrid/Flexible)
We are currently recruiting for a Project Planner to join the Digital, Data and Technology team (DDaT) in a government organisation to support in the planning and completion of varied projects. A role that requires experience with MS Projects and use of relevant frameworks. This is a permanent position which offers flexible working.
Your Company
A Government organisation which has two separate locations collaborating as one. The organisation work in partnership in several areas including operations to deliver efficiency and effectiveness, improving services and resilience at a reduced cost. The Projects team embark on varied exciting projects to improve the proficiency and productivity across the organisation.
Your Role
You will work as part of the DDaT team reporting into the PMO Manager. You will help support and provide clarity to key projects across the business, alongside working with stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the projects are identified. Responsibility of gathering information from project teams and stakeholders and produce project performance reports, according to relevant timescales for Accountability & Performance Board.
Daily duties and responsibilities include collecting, comparing, and evaluating project data allowing a thorough review of project performance; You will also provide advice on the planning process throughout the lifecycle of the projects. Experience with industry software, MS Projects is essential alongside project experience, cost/schedule toolset experience and proficient MS Office skills.
This position requires an individual that has the ability to improve the capability/capacity within the PMO function and have the ambition to progress and upskill as this opportunity highly supports personal development.
What you'll need to succeed
You will demonstrate knowledge and experience of the following:
MS Projects
MS Office
Proven experience within a project environment, with knowledge of planning activities
Experience of managing and co-ordinating projects within a formal project management framework (i.e. PRINCE 2)
Analytical skills with excellent attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, prioritise work and multi-task
